This riding includes parts of Huntley, Nepean and Goulbourn township which are not part of Kanata. This may cause confusion. Kanata-Carleton is a more representative name.

This map shows slight modifications to the boundaries of the proposed electoral district that the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Kanata, within the city of Ottawa. Two lines overlaying the map each describe a complex shape. The solid green line is the Electoral Boundary Commission Proposal and the dashed orange is a public submission.
